Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Clinic

2019 Hi-Power Garand & Modern Service Rifle (AR-15) Clinics

Certified Instructors will provide instruction and coaching in the safe handling, operation, and firing of the M1 Garand, M1A & AR-15 Service Rifles. A 35-shot JC Garand A-Course Match is included (Prone and Standing + Sighters) as well as Pit Duty.

Certificates of Participation will be awarded – Eligible for CMP Rifle Purchase.

Juniors <age 18 shoot free (+ ammunition cost)
Junior Shooters must be accompanied by parent or responsible adult.

NOTE: These events are open to the public. No previous high-power rifle experience is necessary. Participants may use a Club-Owned M1 Rifle, or may use their own M1 Rifle, 1903/A3 rifle, M1 carbine or AR-15. 30-’06 and 7.62 NATO ammunition are available @ $25/person (35 rounds)//5.56 ammunition is $17. M-1 Carbine shooters must supply their own ammunition. No steel-containing bullets/projectiles are permitted, per Forest Service regulations. ALL NON-CLUB AMMUNITION WILL BE TESTED WITH A MAGNET. Participants should dress warmly for the morning (altitude = 3,000 ft.) and bring drinking water and a snack, as facilities on the range are limited, including no cell phone service.

Clinic Fee: $10 (+ $25 /.30 cal Ammunition or $17 for 5.56 – if needed)
